At present, we are facing new challenging social problems very complex and difficult to tackle down. These problems demand the development of new and innovate ways of thought that help us solve them.  Social Innovation is a key mean that plays a central role in the development of new ways of dealing with them.

Social Innovation is both, a multidimensional and a polysemic concept. It is conformed of multiple visions and approaches. The European Commission, in the Guide to Social Innovation (2013), defines social innovation as “the development of new ideas (products, services, models) to satisfy a social need more efficiently than the existed ones,  as well as create new social relationships and to offer better results.
