The Ministry for Finances and Public Administrations of Spain’s Government opens the XIII edition of the Awards for Quality and Innovation in Public Management. The annual call aims to promote the improvement of the quality of public services as well as the visibility of the best initiatives.
The call encourages the participation of the administrative bodies and units of the General State Administration, of the administrations of the Autonomous Communities, and of the entities that make up the Local Administration.
In this XIII edition the awards are framed in three modalities:
- Award for Excellence in Public Management. Aims to recognize the increase of the quality of the services and is aimed at assessing the overall performance of public organizations according to reference models (EFQM, CAF).
- Innovation Award in Public Management. Aimed at recognizing innovative practices in the provision of products or services, as well as initiatives that generate organizational improvement or management processes.
- Citizenship Award. It recognizes the quality and impact on the citizenship of unique initiatives to improve the systems of relations with citizens or that revert to greater transparency, participation, accountability or integrity in the provision of public services.
