CreActiva´s “State network for social entrepreneurship” project is launched

Sinnergiak Social Innovation UPV/EHU is participating as a strategic partner in the CreActiva project that is being headed by Jovesolides and whose main objective is to establish a national network to promote and unify the efforts of various social organisations, companies, administrations and educational institutions to aid social entrepreneurship and social innovation.

This project has the financial backing of the Active Citizenship Programme of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Space 2009-2014, which in Spain is channelled through the Acción Social NGO Platform and the strategic partners IWith.org, Fundació Esplai and the IVAJ (Valencia Youth Institute).

The CreActiva network will bring together all of the organisations, companies, administrations and academic institutions that want to grow through innovation, improving and sharing their work in the areas of entrepreneurship and social innovation. CreActiva will promote young social entrepreneurship initiatives through training and sharing good practices and, with government backing, it will make entrepreneurship and social innovation part of the political agenda as a strategy for improving employability and social cohesion. Ultimately, the aim of this network is to combine the strengths of multiple stakeholders to continue building a fairer and more united world.

The CreActiva project will last for 17 months and will take place simultaneously in Barcelona (Iwith.org), Madrid (Fundación Esplai), Bilbao (Sinnergiak) and Valencia (JOVESOLIDES and IVAJ). The aim of this strategic proposal is to promote youth employability, creativity and the creation of socioeconomic alternatives for social participation among young adults through measures such as: social entrepreneurship laboratories for the young unemployed or social innovation laboratories for social organisations, the CreActivando youth meeting or the 2nd Social Innovation Forum which will be held in Valencia in June 2015.

This programme is the result of collaboration between the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA Grants), the Spanish Government (more specifically the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration) and the Acción Social NGO Platform.
