From the 27th to 29th of June, Sinnergiak Social Innovation (UPV/EHU) is taking part on the ETUI/ETUC “Shaping the new world of work – The impacts of digitalisationand robotisation” conference, in Hotel Thon Europe in Brussels.

The purpose of this ETUC/ETUI conference is to discuss how the world and nature of work and employment is being changed radically by the digital revolution.

Contrary to similar conferences, this event will not only focus on the quantity of work (‘will robots destroy our jobs?’) but also on the quality of work (working conditions, life-work balance, autonomy versus precarious jobs, impacts on social dialogue, health and safety at the workplace etc.) and the challenges of these trends for trade unions and workers.

Sinnergiak Social Innovation (UPV/EHU) together with Koen Repriels from ACV/CSC and Tony Murphy from SIPTU IDEAS Institute will take part, on the 28th of June on the Panel 12: “Workplace innovation in the second machine age“. This panel will discuss how workplace innovation contributes to healthy and productive jobs in ‘the second machine age’.
