On the 15th and 16th of May, Sinnergiak Social Innovation (UPV/EHU) took part in the International Conference organised by the Masovian Centre of Social Policy in Warsaw, entitled “Investment in social policy, expenditure and costs of omissions, Polish and international experience”.
The Conference was organised as part of the “Calculator of Costs of Inaction – implementation of innovative solutions in the area of cost analysis of foregone supportive and motivating measures of social policy in Masovian voivodeship” project. The aim of this two-year project is to calculate the costs of inaction so that a model can be created to allow local administrations to change and integrate social policies through social intervention.
In addition to the Social Calculator of the Costs of Inaction, overseen by the Masovian Centre of Social Policy which has partners such as the Warsaw School of Economics and the Random Centre for Entrepreneurship, other international experiences in the same field were presented. Sinnergiak Social Innovation Centre (UPV/EHU) was represented by its director, Alfonso Unceta and Ainara Osoro, a researcher, who presented the paper “Public Sector: Internal and External Approaches to Innovation” which analysed the different aspects of innovation in the public sector.
