Nesta’s Centre for Collective Intelligence Design explores in a new report the ways in which human and machine intelligence can be combined to develop innovative solutions to societal challenges.

The Internet is allowing the proliferation of so-called collective intelligence, which refers to that by which humans become more intelligent when aided by machines. The different techniques to analyze, collect and share data offered by digital platforms, together with the forms of online collaboration can help mobilize people and their knowledge to identify problems, develop solutions and learn collaboratively.

Without a doubt, collective intelligence can help our public services be better and more inclusive, this being the way in which any institution thinks to find solutions to problems in the 21st century.
