1. 3rd Edition of the SUMSIC. Social Innovation in the Public Sector.

The third edition of the Summer School of Social Innovation Community (SUMSIC) will be held in San Sebastian at the end of June 2018. The topic chosen for this edition is the role of social innovation in the Public Sector..

 

During three days, researchers, policymakers, practitioners and people interested in the connections between social innovation and public innovation will have an opportunity to debate and exchange knowledge and information about trends and challenges of these topics

About Si-Drive Project:

Si-Drive project is a research project aimed at extending knowledge about social innovation (SI) in three major directions: Integrating theories and research methodologies to advance understanding of SI leading to a comprehensive new paradigm of innovation; Undertaking European and global mapping of SI, thereby addressing different social, economic, cultural, historical and religious contexts in eight major world regions; Ensuring relevance for policy makers and practitioners through in-depth analyses and case studies in seven policy fields, with cross European and world region comparisons, foresight and policy round-tables.

3. Global Social Economy Forum 2018

Global Social Economy Forum 1-3 October 2018 Bilbao, Spain. It is with great pleasure that Bilbao City Council invites you to be a part of the Global Social Economy Forum GSEF2018 This acknowledged international gathering of social economy actors brings together over 1,500 participants from around the world.

The City of Bilbao organizes the GSEF 2018 in Bilbao, Basque Country, in the first week of October. This edition’s core theme is the combination of values and competitiveness for an inclusive and sustainable local development.

4. Call for Papers. EGOV-CeDEM-ePart 2018 Conference

EGOV-CeDEM-ePart 2018 represents the merge of the IFIP WG 8.5 Electronic Government (EGOV), the IFIP WG 8.5 IFIP Electronic Participation (ePart) and the Conference for E-Democracy and Open Government Conference (CeDEM). The conference is held annually, and will be hosted 3-5 September 2018 at the Danube University Krems in Austria. Two general tracks will maintain the tradition of EGOV and EPART. Additional special-topics tracks expand the reach and scope of the EGOV-CeDEM-EPART 2018 Conference.

Within the expanded tracks, among others, the following can be found:

  • The General E-Government & Open Government
  • The General E-Democracy & eParticipation
  • The Smart Governance (Government, Cities & Regions)
  • The AI, Data Analytics, & Automated Decision Making
  • The Social Innovation track
